Cromoglass digital printing
Cromoglass is a highly innovative digital printing process on glass using hex colour paints that Veneto Vetro offers exclusively to its customers. Cromoglass is a truly distinctive value of Veneto Vetro, a process that very few other European companies can offer.
Cromoglass combines the versatility of digital printing and the endurance of ceramic ink.
The printing process involves a very large inkjet printer with 24 heads that move over the surface being printed, where they release 6 different colours of liquid ink at the same time to perfectly reproduce the images that have been acquired from the software. Cromoglass software processes standard graphic files (.pdf, .tif or .jpeg format) to transform them into perfectly printed high definition colour images. The customer is free to provide the images or the Veneto Vetro technical office will propose some designs, so there is no limit to the customization level that can be achieved.
After printing, the glass is then tempered or hardened to ensure the image remains unchanged over the years, even if it is exposed to direct sunrays or the weather.
Monolithic glass can be applied, and it is not necessary to protect the painted side by stratifying the glass. To get the best colour performance in this application, Veneto Vetro advises using the ultra-clear glass. Maximum size in 3300 x 6000 mm
